One must consult whether any other vitamins or supplements can be administered. Also, women who are suffering from acid reflux problems and heartburn must mention if they are pregnant or nursing. Similarly, the doctor must be informed of your past history of diseases especially those related to liver, stomach etc.

It is also important to talk about the food habits and any other precautions while using Acid reflux Prilosec. Tobacco smoking and alcohol intake may decrease the affectivity of acid reflux Prilosec and this must be discussed with the physician.

Since Proton Pump Inhibitors work by reducing or blocking the stomach acids, other drugs such as Ketoconazole (an antifungal agent) and some forms of ampicillin (antibiotic), that require an acidic environment for absorption into the body may not be as well absorbed.

Side Effects of Acid Reflux Prilosec

Though not commonly seen, yet during the usage of acid reflux Prilosec, one may have an upset stomach followed by diarrhea, headache or even vomiting tendency. In some persons, it may cause skin irritation and development of rashes. If such conditions persist, consult your doctor.
