Excess fat and oil should be minimized. Go for options such as baking and grilling rather than frying to avoid acid reflux. Caffeine, alcohol, nicotine taken in any form can aggravate your chances of having acid reflux. Aerated drinks though seem to give you instant relief sometimes, but they are equally harmful for the condition of acid reflux. Interestingly, a good sleeping posture can also help in minimizing heartburn from acid reflux. People having acid reflux symptoms are advised to sleep on their sides rather than on their back.
